There is a new organic red, the debut of which is the 2019 Cune Organic, a blend of 60% Garnacha, 30% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano. That's quite an unusual blend for them, as they tend to use more Tempranillo, and it brings a different combination of freshness and power. The grapes were handpicked and fermented separately by variety with indigenous yeasts, and the wine matured in used 300-liter oak barrels for six months. This wine is deep ruby red in color with good aromatic intensity showing forest fruits such as blackberries, red currants and wild fruits. On the palate the red fruit characteristic of Tempranillo dominates along with floral notes. Barrel aging gives a lightly spiced touch and a long, balanced finish.

The nose is elegant with bright notes of unripe red fruit, blood orange with a hint of balsamic. In evolution in the glass the wine reveals earthy and cocoa aromas. The drink is rich in freshness and persistence, finesse and elegance with a subtle tannic texture and savory finish.

The appellation of Cheverny extends along the left bank of the Loire from Sologne to the outskirts of Orleans. Domaine Salvard has been in the Delaille family since the 1890's, the latest generation expertly managing their 30 hectares with a semi-organic vineyard management. This particular white is a blend of 85% Sauvignon and 15% Chardonnay. After the grapes are picked they receive a short maceration followed by pressing. After fermentation the wine lies on its fine lees for up to 12 months before bottling. The Cheverny Blanc has been described as a junior Sancerre with intense gooseberry crispness. This wine is a pale lemon-yellow in the glass. Delicate, fragrant aromas of citrus fruits, green orchard fruits and hazelnuts.. On the palate, dry yet expansive with a reasonably full body. The flavours are clean and refreshing leading to an aromatic finish. The balance between the zesty Sauvignon and the rounder Chardonnay works very well.
